Copenhagen Light Festival

The Copenhagen Light Festival 2024 featured around 70 artworks placed at different locations around the city. Beside traditional light some works also used videoprojections as a light source and some works even had a sound track which light effects were programmed to.

Here are some selected installations from the event:

The festival had a helpful app with some route examples to follow whether you were biking or hiking. As the artworks were scattered with some distance you had to pick and chose as seeing everything was a major task. However many groups used the opportunity to take a fun night in town for hunting artworks.

The use of programmed light, sound and video technology and presenting the works in open air made the event a true immersive experience.
